Live Cuts

At Dig Dive Discover, we offer exclusive access to our agatized coral through live sales on social media. This format allows collectors to participate directly in the cutting process and experience the true potential of the material in real time. We do not sell rough coral. Instead, live cutting is the only way we share uncut material. This approach preserves the integrity of our Collection while providing the rare opportunity to claim a specimen before it is revealed. By claiming a piece prior to cutting, collectors gain access to the same level of material that produces the museum-grade specimens featured in our Collection. While outcomes are never guaranteed, this process represents a potential path to the extraordinary colors, patterns, and structures seen throughout our Collection.

Our goal is to share the cutting experience with you. Every specimen offered is guaranteed agatized coral. When a piece is declared a dud, a pre-selected redemption specimen will be cut on your behalf in accordance with the policy outlined below.

Quality

Unless otherwise noted, coral is sourced from the rare Black & Blue site. Internal color, pattern, and quality are not guaranteed. Uncut pieces are priced conservatively with the goal of being worth at least the amount paid but with opportunity to be worth 5–25× more depending on the cut. All live-cut specimens will be polished and ship within up to 9 business days.

Redemption Policy

If we declare a specimen a dud, we will cut the redemption piece already set aside for you. By claiming, you agree to this process and may not back out. Non-payment or backing out will result in being blocked from future sales.

Lapidary Fee

Our 4% Lapidary fee supports every step of coral preparation, including collection, pre-cut prep, polishing, stabilizing, acid treatment, sandblast ect. This level of work is substantial and scales with size and quantity. We use museum-quality materials and methods, standards rarely applied in coral sales. By sharing this cost, we’re able to keep pricing competitive while delivering specimens prepared to the highest possible standard.

Breakage Policy

Specimens may fracture or break during the polishing process. Minor edge or corner breaks are common, and the final shape of the specimen may differ slightly from its original form. If a significant break occurs, we will contact you so you may choose to keep the specimen as is or authorize a repair. In the event a specimen breaks, we will extend a discount on your next claim equal to 25% of the specimen’s claim price (the amount paid at the time of the claim), excluding shipping, taxes, and fees. This discount is not based on any perceived or market value.
